SCFXGuide – What is it about?

What on earth can I build with this transistor?

SCFXGuide stands for Semi-Conductors effects guide. My initial idea was to list all the different stomp box fx that one can make organised by types of transistors or ICs (at least those that I am aware of). In my personal opinion, to often I am finding a good pedal I would like to try but was always missing the right transistor. Or the opposite, component harvesting on old equipment being an easy way of getting free stuff, but finding a schematic applicable for a type of component can sometimes be tough. Hence this blog!
